Well here we are. We’ve been on the road for over a month! Just a few weeks left to go. Tonight we’re playing our second last Ontario show in Peterborough, ON and then Ottawa tomorrow night, and then into Quebec, and finally the Maritimes. We’ve also begun booking our summer tour, which as added a lot of work to the already busy schedule, but we are really excited about it! We’re going to have two other musicians with us, a brother and sister duo from Quesnel, BC called Reeves (http://www.facebook.com/reevesmusicpage). They are quite lovely and I’m sure you will all fall in love with their folksy melodies.
So back to this tour, which is going by faster than ever, we’ve continued to have some more awesome experiences, such as sleeping in an attic two nights in a row, being given a 20lb sack of potatoes as a gift, playing a punk show, (those last two on the same night!), knitting my first pair of slippers, surviving northern Ontario blizzards, and so many more! We also passed the $100 mark in Subway gift cards meaning that we won’t always have to have $5 footlongs, but maybe splurge a bit on chicken-bacon-ranch subs. My favorite. 🙂
I’m excited to head to the Maritimes soon…I’m definitely ready for a slower pace and ocean air. Southern Ontario was nice, and I got to see some old friends and spend some time with my mother-in-law (we went to a Maple Syrup Festival! So fun!) but other than wonderful people, it’s a bit to big and busy and full of angry drivers. Haha.
And as for tonight, we are playing at The Spill in Peterborough, with an 80s rock cover band. Should be an interesting Tuesday night…
