God said to Soloman, “Since this is your heart’s desire and you have not asked for wealth, riches, or honour, nor for the death of your enemies, and since you have not asked for a long life but for wisdom and knowledge to govern my people over whom I have made you king, therefore wisdom and knowledge will be given you. And I will also give you wealth, riches and honour, such as no king who was before you ever had and none after you will have.”
2 Chronicles 1:11-12

God knows the motives of our hearts and the purity of our desires. I believe that when our thoughts and desires are aligned with that of him, he will not only give us our heart’s desires, but his desires for us. God is not a God of limits. He is limitless in his love, faithfulness, blessing, creativity, etc. I don’t know why God would want to continually extend his blessing to us. We’re so flawed, we make mistakes constantly. And still, through all our shortcomings, he never holds back his grace and his favour from us, his people. He has so much faith in us, even when our faith in him is lacking. And in all this, he desires for us to succeed and reach our destiny. It’s so humbling to realize this.

“While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

What would we do, where would we be, without God’s unsurpassed grace?

Anyways, just a few thoughts.
